About Me
Hello, my name is Keeley Gilfillan and I am currently an undergraduate student in my final year at the University of Canberra, studying a double degree in a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies/Bachelor of Communication in Media and Public Affairs. As well as majoring in International Studies, I am also majoring in Communication Studies as well as a Major in Media and Public Affairs.

Writing and learning about international studies and communication in media environments has been something that I have thoroughly enjoyed.
​
I have always been interested in learning about key topics such as social and digital communication, writing social media content and the dynamic relationships between society, media and the government. Learning about social media and communication strategies, content development and management processes are also some topics that I have taken a major interest in.

The skills or attributes that I possess that I consider are well suited to a career in either international relations and communications include strong teamwork and communication skills. I consider that I have the ability to work well in team environments and work individually with minimal supervision. I also consider that I have strong interpersonal and other social communication skills as people often comment on my friendly and helpful manner.

I strive to meet deadlines and establish priorities well ahead of schedule by consistently handing in assessment items and reports to a high academic level of achievement and in a timely manner. I also think I am very flexible and reliable when it comes to working specified hours and can adapt to new settings, situations and change.
​
My goals for the future include completing my double degrees this year and finding work that relates to either international studies or communications, social media and public relations. Finding suitable employment will expand my professional knowledge, experience and training whilst gaining confidence in a hands-on environment whilst under supervision
